Range

Average runtime per charge is about 2 hours. Run time is affected by density of grass, terrain, and temperature.

The TM-1000 is capable of maintaining up to 3 acres of turf and the TM-2000 is capable of maintaining up to 6 acres. Results may vary based on the amount of cutting time available and complexity of the layout.

The TM-2000 is 41 inches wide. But the real benefit is the area it can maintain—since the mowers are dedicated to a turf field.

Mowing can be scheduled when the field is not being watered or used for practices and games. Keep in mind that reduced mowing time reduces the total area the TurfMower can properly maintain.

The ECHO Robotics® TurfMowers can sense when it is time to charge. When that happens, it makes its way back to the charger automatically.

Each site has a professional installation process customized to fit your needs. We bury a perimeter wire about two inches below the surface of your turf, set-up the charging station, and program your TurfMower for operation. Installation only takes one day. 

The perimeter wire creates the magnetic field in which the robot operates. There are a number of guidance technologies, but the perimeter wire provides the highest level of reliability and safety.

Four to eight weeks, depending on grass type and debris in grass. They’re also designed for maximum ease-of-use—so operators can switch out blades quickly and hassle-free.

No. The concept of the TurfMower is to use small razor blades which give a minimal, precise cut on a daily basis. The objective is healthier turf with a “just cut” look, every day.

The TM-2000 can be fitted with Ball Protection Disks (sold separately) that will gently move the balls away from the cutters preventing discharging and cutting.

The ECHO Robotics® Range Picker can collect about 300 balls before needing to unload them.

Once the hopper in the Range Picker is full, it will automatically return to the ball drop station to release the balls. Once the hopper is empty, the Range Picker will return to the range and continue picking.

Depending on density, the Range Picker can collect up to 12,500 golf balls per day.

The Range Picker cannot go through sand traps. When there are traps on the range the options are to create islands around the traps or to replace the sand with crushed stone.

The TM-2000 is equipped with specially designed guards which allow the blades to cut the grass while pushing the balls aside. This allows the robot to be mowing at all times, even with balls on the range.

The Range Picker needs to be used in conjunction with the TurfMower. When used together, the grass is maintained at the optimal height for picking at all times and the range doesn’t have to be closed for mowing.

Yes. This is often a good way to introduce your range to autonomous maintenance. The TurfMower can keep the range turf healthy and looking great while reducing costs from not having to close the range and the elimination of cut or compacted balls. The Range Picker can be added to the range at a later date.
